Yoga Talk

About

BACK TO "PRICELESS YOGA" Jen McCarron has been practicing yoga since Valentine’s Day, 2004 when her practice began in Upstate New York. When she moved to Tucson, Arizona, her practice grew quickly, nurtured by the many spiritual teachers Jen encountered there. She completed an 150-hour Anusara Yoga Immersion and Teacher Training with Darren Rhodes, as well as another highly empowering teacher-training which taught Jen that "yoga is to be adapted to the body - not the other way around"- this is the main philosophy Jen uses when practicing and it guides her when applying yoga therapeutically with clients.   Jen was  drawn through meditation practice to learn the anatomy of the subtle body. A Yin Yoga teacher-training gave her a closer look at the subtle energies at work during asana practice, and fed her discipline, and desire to share her experience. She moved to Denver in 2011, and after gaining her 200-hour RYT certificate through a karma yoga scholarship at Core Power Yoga, she continues to work in the Denver yoga community. Jen’s classes are inspired by her many teachers, (aka “students!”) and her belief that “health” means nourishing the spirit, the body, and the connections between them. In her past life Jen was a dedicated and hard-working graduate student in Audiology at the University of Arizona.  She also teaches Elementary Spanish and has traveled through Mexico on numerous adventures.
